Plans for today (2025)

So I feel a lot better when I don't make plans and get a lot done. I trimmed the chicken thighs and legs and got them in the brine, baked the excess chicken skin to crispy, went to Aldi and got even more cheese and other stuff, went to the mechanic to figure out why my left rear running light wasn't working (again, they just changed the bulb in July), took out some ground pork and ground lamb from the freezer (I have a new pack of fresh ground beef in the outside refrigerator from my grocery store delivery audit), and put the lamb bones from the freezer in the crockpot so that I can make a 3-meat tomato based marinara sauce (close to a Bolognese but not exactly) tomorrow.

I got the stove clean and the dishes done, now I just need to clean out the microwave. We will start smoking the chicken around 6-7, as it shouldn't take that long to do and we won't eat until 11 anyway. Oh, and I fed my starter because I am making pizza dough tomorrow--we are going to a cousin's house on Saturday to make pizza in his new wood fired pizza oven. He made us pizzas this past Saturday and they were awesome! I have also been meaning to make some fresh pasta but might not get around to that until next week.

Making pizza dough at some point. Drinking water right now, probably will snooze some more this a.m. it's raining.
Wish it was raining here. I razed the garden area in preparation for planting garlic on Halloween so it needs to rain so I can till it.

Today is Walmart, Morelo's, and Ollie's day. Morelo's for Pippi's beef jerky and they've got mozzarella cheese twice as cheap as Walmart. It comes on those styrofoam trays like meat and is ropes of it. 🤤 Going to take Pippi's groomer, Sarah, a small tub of cucumber kimchi. 👍
 
Hoping for a light day today, work and home.

I’ve gone for a 30-minute walk, planning one (or two) more of that…compiling a Saturday Sam’s Club list…about to empty the dishwasher and think about what salad dressing for tonight’s salad.

MrsT has already said she wants hot wings tomorrow night, so I’m off the hook for that. She knows I had a shit day yesterday - I swear, every doctor we have, they’re fine, but their staff has at least one totally incompetent boob…and it’s usually the practice manager or the main nurse, and that was the case yesterday, handling boobs all day long. 😠

ETA: I just read that back, but I’m leaving it as-is!
