Plans for today (2025)

Fries just don't heat up well. Air fryer is better than oven though. I'd rather just eat as much as I can and then toss 'em. But DH and I split fries when we go out and there are always, always some left because I don't love them that much.

Don't mention 😉 an air fryer round these parts lol

There has never, in the entirety of my existence, ever been me and leftover fries. That’s like matter and antimatter - the two just don’t coexist.
I'm required to get a burger, fries, and a drink when I do 5 Guys evaluations. I'd rather eat the burger. I'm required to taste the fries. Their small fries size is just too much food with the burger. I can eat maybe 1/3rd of the fries or less.

I prefer protein to carbs usually. It also might be that I don't really love how 5 Guys (and most restaurants) prepares their fries. I'm not allowed to request them extra crispy (which is how I like them) when I'm doing a shop because it affects the timings. If I'm out on my own dime, which is rare, I don't order fries unless it's part of the meal, and I'll always ask for them extra crisp...but usually they don't get it right and they're pale, limp, and soggy. If I can sub for onion rings I'll always do that!

Put the fries on the burger! Think steak and potatoes??? 🤤

Hope this doesn't cloud your opinion, but I had a 5 guys burger (and fries) in London and did not enjoy it at all. Too messy to eat.
No. I never let other people's opinions cloud mine, and when I do my evaluations I have to remain completely objective and base my evaluation on the circumstances of the visit I am conducting. For example, I can't let the fact that I saw an employee engaging in inappropriate behavior on a previous visit affect my judgement of their behavior on the next visit. For example, one time I saw a manager yelling at an employee in front of customers and using harsh language. It went into my report. The next time I visited that location, the same manager was still there and was entirely pleasant to his staff. They got a good rating on performance on the 2nd visit, even though I hadn't forgotten he was a jerk at the 1st.
