Plans for today (2025)

I hope not. Just stay out of the way, he’ll figure it out. You can get anything into anywhere if you try hard enough, plus if you get the smaller fridge, he’ll have busted that door frame for nothing.

Get his family over there, they’ll figure it out.
If I call his cousin (who could probably figure it out) my DH would have a coniption I think. Plus his cousin just got off work and has to get up at 5 a.m. I am fine with something a little smaller, it will still be bigger than what we have. There is just no way to get a 35.75" fridge through a 35" doorway, sorry.

TastyReuben, I stand corrected. After getting off the phone with customer service, DH told me that they can take the refrigerator doors off to make it fit through the opening. With the refrigerator doors off it will be 33" wide and will fit right through. The Best Buy rep put notes in for the delivery team, who will be here sometime between 2-6. I am getting my new badass refrigerator tomorrow!!!!!!

Don't forget the hydration fluids to put in it! 😃

We're drinking them now.

These delivery guys are getting a workout tomorrow. They are removing the broken refrigerator in the garage, moving the current kitchen refrigerator into it's spot, doing all the stuff they have to do to get the new one in it's place, water line hooked up...:)

I'm a pretty good housekeeper but cleaning behind my refrigerator was icky and neglected. That needed done regardless of getting the new one. Reminds me that I probably should pull out the stove and discover a dirty surprise there. Hmmm, should I ask DH for a new stove too?

No real plans today, it’s murderously hot again, and the story that all the news outlets seem to have focused on is the phenomenon of “corn sweat” - how high temps and bright days cause the fields and fields of corn in the Midwest to release moisture into the air, enough so to noticeably raise the humidity.

Any Midwestern farm kid knows that - when it gets past a certain temp, you can smell the moisture the stalks of corn are putting off, it’s palpable and a characteristic of summer here. I’m sitting (sweating) on the front porch right now, and the air is thick with that peculiar odor from the corn field behind our house.

By the afternoon, it’ll have crept into the house. Some people don’t like the smell, but I love it. One of the very, very few things about a hot summer that I enjoy.

Might run into to town to grab a thing or two for a sheet-pan supper tonight.

Around here when the humidity stays high and it's hot you can smell the "mulch pile" that is everything outside.

Have 2 gas station mystery shops to do and get Pippi another bag of 'Beggin strips. The stone engravers down the road have some canning jars for me. 👏

Need to get a pipe/tube/hose for the water pump. I'll have to wait for the bloke next door to come and take a look and tell me exactly what the thing is, otherwise I'll probably come back with a pipe/tube/hose for something completely different, like a TV cable or a hosepipe.
I got tired of those things failing so at 110K miles/177K km I had the radiator flushed and when I got home drilled a small hole in the pressure cap. Cooling system runs at atmospheric pressure and not positive at +13 lb. so it won't blow a hose, crack the radiator, destroy the heat exchanger, or in any other way ruin my day and cost money that the mfg. wants you to spend on buying their parts through misapplied engineering practices... 😉

Picking up my car
Got it back.
Got almost lost in town as it was dark coming back and mrs Google wasn't sure of the route.
And I knew even less.
But all good.
Loading a fridge tomorrow. 2nd hand, but new to me
Should just fit in the back of my car (although it wasn't me taking the measurements :) )
