They’re nice, but very expensive, depending on what you get - people who don’t bat an eye shopping at Whole Foods think twice and check their bank balance before stepping in there.

I still recall a spontaneous purchase for MrsT - they were selling hand-dipped caramel/toffee apples, dipping them right there - and it was…around $15.

Their signature bakery item is their Killer Brownie - they ship those around the country - and the last time I checked, a single brownie was something like $8. It’s probably closer to $10 now.

I shop very selectively there…but I love walking through their store. I can spend all day in there.
Everything is so damn expensive still. I thought prices were supposed to go down? If anything, it seems like the opposite has happened. I haven't had steak in so long because it's just too damn expensive. Like, ridiculous. $10 a pound for ground beef. (80/20). $40 for a 1-pound filet mignon.
It's been so long since I've had steak. 🙁

My last whole fillet i got was $52. I usually get 12 to 14 fat juicy steaks.

I gave up buying beef unless it's cheek meat. Took me a few pounds to figure out how to prepare it. Can't really eat it like a steak or something. Have to dice it up, pressure or slow cook it, and it's NOT the star of the plate.

Pork is my thing now; I can afford it, mostly.

Making an appointment to get a 2 minute blood draw? That seems like an incredibly unnecessarily complicated process. The time it takes to schedule the appointment would take longer than the actual blood draw itself.
appts are mandatory at my doctors for drawing blood.

I’ve been buying steak from Aldi recently and have been fairly happy with those.

Didn't have time this morning to plan my day, but I already knew what it was all about.
down to Casa Bistró.
1) Change into a pretentious chef's jacket with my name on it ( just in case I forget)
2) Sit at the bar ( no booze while working) and wait for the first customers for the Indian food festival.
3) Talk them through the menu.
4) Wait for the next customer.
that was fine until about 2pm, when the restaurant filled up. Then it was 3,4,3,4,3,4,3,4,3,4,3,4,34,34,4,34,34,35,3434343434... :hyper: :hyper: :hyper: :hyper: :hyper:
until 5.30.
Wonderful day!!
