Plans for today (2026)

I’m going into the office today. I need to print out a couple of things for our tax guy, and my employer blocks sending any attachments through email to an external email address…so off to the office I go.

Well you all know that, sometimes, things don't go as planned.
I'd planned to take my son to the gym, pick up a couple of things form the supermarket then head back home to make some chutney and prepare some piccalilli.
The car started losing power just as I was getting to the gym. Probably the fuel injection system, I thought.
Managed to get it to the garage, and the mechanic hadn't arrived. Popped off to have some breakfast, bought some of the stuff I was missing, then took a taxi home.
The lads were busily mixing cement for the wall. The Internet tech arrived. Then the bloke to fix the water pump. Then the techs from the front gate, with the gate controls. Had to make some food for the builders.
Concrete is still being poured into the holes. Internet fixed. Water pump fixed. Controls, fixed. Food, fixed.
No chutney in sight, but that will have to wait because I've got to prep an English lit, class for tomorrow and I haven't even read the poems yet.
No news on the car.
Not bad for multiple tasking!

3 hours reading ad interpreting a poem by Kayo Chungonyi, but I think I've nailed it .

Laundry
Put clean sheets on the bed
Make Beef Vegetable Barley Soup for Mom (and share with my Gal Pals)
Go to the market to pick up just a few things
Stop over at Mom's apartment and get a few things for her
Go to the Skilled Nursing facility that Mom is at and bring her supper and visit for a bit
Put gasoline in the car
Stop at See's Candies for a quick pick up :dance:
Skittle back home to make supper for us three, one of them being a to-go box
