Plans for today (2026)

A great couple of hours at the wine tasting. The wine was from an Argentinian vineyard called " Altos de Hormiga" (roughly translated as "Ant Heights")
The first offering was a white wine prepared with semillon, chenin, and pedro jimenez grapes. Very nice indeed - and I'm not a white wine person.
Then we tried 3 different Malbec wines. The bog standard (9 months), the reserve (15 months) and the special reserve (3 years). Really good, really great, and outstanding - in that order.
A really enjoyable evening!

Should be easily available in Australia as lots of vineyards there grow that grape. The Australian ones are easily available here too:

Given i don't drink... it's not one I have heard of.

I typically only cook with wine occasionally, and stick with "yellow tail" which have more vegan wines than not. I've had anaphylaxis following a meal where the only possible source of the contaminant was the wine that was cleaned/ filtered using milk. So I stick with totally vegan wines now when I cook. I also have to avoid milk stouts as well.
