Raw asparagus?

First brain wave of purple asparagus points me to anthcyan.
Which comes to expression under certain type of light
Compare eggplant under too low light will not turn purple

I guess purple is very common in Italy. I've never seen it here, though the green sometimes gets purplish at the woody ends, which is where I usually snap it off. But it would be cool to find purple tender spears.
