A change up from the usual pinto bean and quite tasty.
Ingredients
Method
Take all but your chickpeas, cilantro, and garlic and saute in some oil until the onions are just about translucent. When the onions are turning add in your garlic. While all that's cooking mash your chickpeas, may need to add some broth to get the consistency you like.
When the onions are done mix in your chickpeas and mix well. Heat until bubbly. Best if served the next day.
Really good on corn tortillas and then loaded with cheese.

- 1/4 onion, diced
- 1 red jalapenõ, diced
- 1 green onion, chopped
- 1 garlic clove, mashed
- 1 Pinch cumin
- S & P to taste
- Oil to saute
- 2 Tbsp chopped cilantro
