I was thinking more along the lines that "fruit" and "maple" don't belong together, but since I don't love maple...well there you go.Looks good.

Never had chicken and waffles with gravy???I was thinking more along the lines that "fruit" and "maple" don't belong together, but since I don't love maple...well there you go.
Also, meat and waflles would not belong on the same plate for sure. My foster sister used to put syrup on bacon and sausage, UGH. She also used to make biscuit and sausage sandwiches with grape jelly inside.
I would eat chicken and waffles with gravy as long as there was no syrup or any sweetener. I don't do sweet and meat together in general. The closest thing I have come to with that is making dinner salads with chicken and bacon that had dried cranberries on it, which are slightly sweet.Never had chicken and waffles with gravy???

If you do it, please don't post photos. I can't unsee that. The memories are still traumatizing after 50 years.Sausage and biscuits with jelly?
Hmmmmmmm
So relieved to hear that, phew!I’d say the hat it’ll be a hard pass on that one.
I've used waffles for bread slices before. They hold mayonnaise pretty good!I make corn and bacon (mixed into batter) waffles. Serve them with butter/syrup/fruit/sour cream/sometimes meat on the side. Whatever person wants. DD’s would occasionally use leftover waffles for PB&J sandwiches.
