My dad was a local table tennis champ, according to him. My Grammar School (it was a public school until 25 years before I went there) taught rugby and cricket.
However, I was a sports fanatic. I played my rugby and cricket, but also learned squash, tennis and "fives".
I became a football (soccer) fan when my kids went to school. Saw my first live baseball game in 2019 - Cincinnati Reds (and made sure I had a Ball Park Hot Dog there too). I saw Fulham and Chelsea in 2022.
Watched American football in 2021, when the Bengals got to the final. Still don't understand the game, and probably never will.
Can't abide basketball.
