Sprouting My Own Sprouts

My mung beans

This is just a mason jar with a piece of screen.
I rinse, then drain twice a day (if I remember, and depending on temperature/humidity) and that keeps enough moisture.
And when they are done, they get a proper lid and the jar can go in the fridge

Looks good! I'll have to start doing mine like that since the pan lets the water evaporate quickly, even with paper towels on top. I covered with a splash screen, it helps.
Anything that's enclosed to keep the seeds moist but has air circulation - covered colanders work ok too. But I prefer the jar + screen method as it takes up less room and as badjak says, goes easily into the fridge when sprouted enough.

I can tell I'm going to need to buy more lentils... I used to, when I was keto diet, make a stir fry dish with sprouts that was really good. I'll post when I find it, or make it up again. 🤤
