Will it be safe to eat after 18 years?

I'm going to choose Aubergine because I have come to really like it abs would like to see what others make of it. <goes off to check if we've had it before >.... Yes we have... :confused: Thinks again. :confused:

Ok, I'm going to choose any rice but it mustn't be a compliment to the dish, so no curry served over rice. The any rice must be an integral part of the dish.

Time frame is the usual 2 weeks which makes it Saturday 10th September, midday UK time.

Edit: I've changed this to any rice from wild rice.

Risotto or paella it is then! :) The thing about wild rice is that the first thing that came to my mind was salad. And in fact, I posted one not long ago Bejewelled Wild Rice Salad.
A quick search produced a bewildering array of wild rice salad recipes but not much else (I mean with wild rice as main ingredient). There were some recipes for wild rice cooked in casseroles or in soup which looked interesting. Of course, wild rice isn't really rice at all!

Apologies folks. I will update the front page and the featured page when my internet speeds are back to something other than text only. A picture this morning (600kb) took nearly half an hour to upload due to the weather! It's still raining. Australia is like that. I am hopeful that I will get better speeds tomorrow. On the good news front I have a date for satellite broadband installation - the 15th September in the afternoon. Only my OH can't remember if he purchased the router or not... so I have no idea if I will actually be online that day or not!
