• I’ve added a casual chat room to CookingBites as a place for off-topic banter, light conversation, and short-lived chit-chat that doesn’t belong in forum threads. The chat room is informal and lightly-to-not moderated, with messages being temporary, so it’s ideal for friendly back-and-forth that would otherwise derail discussions. Site rules still apply, but there’s no reporting system or expectation of post-by-post moderation - if something becomes uncomfortable, the right response is to step away. If a topic has substance or lasting value, it still belongs in the forums; everything else can head to chat.

Hey Herbaceous I'm in Madison, OH up on Lake Erie today and I've tuned into a rock station in London, Ontario. And it's light snow flurries up here today. So of course I thought of you!
You aren’t too far from me at all! My dad grew up in London, Ontario. I still have a bunch of family there, although I don’t really see them these days.

My fridge has to have the Evaporator Fan Motor, and the Temperature Sensor replaced. These were replaced less than a month ago. Guess they were defective. Last time, the whole fan was covered in ice. Had to defrost the fridge for 3 days. Last time I borrowed coolers. This time they said no need to defrost because the fan is shot, so there shouldn't be ice. Food has gone bad in the fridge. And I don't want to borrow coolers and lug bags of ice again. So have been buying crap to eat. I'm going to go buy something to cook tonight. Will probably do that or buy takeout/fast food till it's fixed. Hope parts come quick because my stomach can't handle crappy food every day. I am so glad PSE&G has Worry-Free Service Plans. Hasn't been any service/repair charges.

If it is only the temerature sensor then get yourself an inkbird.
Its a temperature controller.
It can take over from your fridge (i use them to keep proper fermentation temperature when brewing beer)

Hopefully it will be fixed before Good Friday/Easter food needs to be bought, stored in fridge, prepped, cooked.
