Power came back on at about 10:30PM, today was supposed to be a bit cooler, but now it’s predicted to be right back up in the 90’s again.

We had a couple of power cuts yesterday as well. Just a minute or so, but power cuts all the same. I imagine that's a result of the high temperatures.

No power cuts here as yet. More likely when it's Tstorms and trees come down. This year, finally, I've a generator for the fridge so watching the groceries get warm won't be a thing.

Right on! I turn mine on when the tea starts to steep and it's good to go. I'm still looking for a ceramic mug that's -flat- across the bottom for better heat transfer. That'd be engineering me...

Yesterday one of the guys here was let go, another guy went 2 weeks ago. Both were very unreliable, neither have worked a full month so far this year.

A good work ethic is getting harder to find. I've known techs that while on a commercial PM, preventative maintenance, job would disappear on the roof and pencil whip the paperwork. Our average job cost the client around $10K. They'd eventually get caught and fired but the resultant repairs were avoidable.

The job market isn't great, 1 guy has kids so you would think they would get their heads down and get on with it, staying until they get something better. Just hope they don't expect a reference....they won't get one.
