I'd tip the person doing the job, not the owner!
She is the owner and aesthetician, in other words, she owns the joint and does the work on me too.I'd tip the person doing the job, not the owner!
Mine was too.She is the owner and aesthetician, in other words, she owns the joint and does the work on me too.
No tip, a bit of goodies only.Barriehie and SoCalZone10 I'm leaning towards just a smaller tip and no more goodies... at $30 AND she owns the place, I think I'm good there.
Opinions?
My opinion is, if she’s doing the work, she deserves a monetary tip.Opinions?
No goodies, just a small tip is fine. I think the $12 was 9 years ago, that was quite a long time ago.Barriehie and SoCalZone10 I'm leaning towards just a smaller tip and no more goodies... at $30 AND she owns the place, I think I'm good there.

Still sounds like a bit much. Do you have a unibrow???I asked AI what the average cost is to have your eyebrows waxed today and it came up with a National Average of $15-$30 in a general salon... so I shouldn't grouse, eh?
Sounds expensive to me. But I have never had eyebrow treatment. Nor do I go to hairdressers. Maybe you should shop around.Petty Vent:
I had tried to make an appointment to have my eyebrows waxed MONTHS ago, they're so wild. She was really booked out.
My eye sight isn't great for up close, so I've been having this nice young gal do it for me for about 9 years now.
When I first starting going to her when she worked in a Salon, it cost me $12 USD.
I have an appointment with her at her own salon a few towns away from us and she uses Square Go.
I just got a text asking me to confirm my appointment and I looked at the details... $30 USD!!!
GEEZ!
As the salon owner, do I need to tip her any longer? I've always given her a $5 cash tip,
and I ALWAYS bring some sort of baked goodie for her and her husband.
Yes, shop around. I know where there are schools you can sometimes get a serious discount. If Cowboyville has cosmetologists then they're getting trained somewhere.Sounds expensive to me. But I have never had eyebrow treatment. Nor do I go to hairdressers. Maybe you should shop around.
I asked my daughter how much she thinks it would cost at her place, she said about $40. She doesn’t wax either. I think her hair cost is about $90.I asked AI what the average cost is to have your eyebrows waxed today and it came up with a National Average of $15-$30 in a general salon... so I shouldn't grouse, eh?
I go to top of the line training school, in fact one of my daughters suggested the idea because she got the hair cut at the same place in college.Yes, shop around.
