No! Just sort of a running joke!
I totally get it, I was thinking earlier it's probably just because it's expensive. There's a store here Giant Eagle that my husband says is appropriate because it's a bird of prey, preying upon consumers with high prices. And I've heard people refer to Whole Foods as Whole paycheck.

Agree with Whole Foods. When I lived close to one is was a specialty item store only!

Yes, given the eatery place that it is and not far from LA. I used to get cases of fresh oysters for $36 that came from TX.
When you were in Louisiana, did you ever get Appalachicola Bay (Florida) oysters? The best. Well best I've ever had. I hear the Pacific NW has outstanding oysters. I don't love the brown water in Texas. I had some oysters in South Carolina that came from the James River and they were terrible. I'm glad I got them steamed instead of raw. When I lived in Destin there was this little bar I took my husband to when we met called the High Tide. Happy hour was $5.50 a dozen oysters on the half shell and $1 long neck bottle domestic beer. My favorite oyster bar is in New Orleans, ACME Oyster House. YUM. I want to go to New Zealand and try bluff oysters that rascal has mentioned.

Hmm, I don't get within 10 miles of an airport so I think NZ is out. 🤠 (Well, the one runway one across the river that can't land jets is okay.)

Tampa isn't far from Appalachicola.

NZ and Australia are on the bucket list.
