You're living there? That's awesome.
No, this one is a holiday home at the moment. We used to live in this valley about 2 miles away (over 30yrs ago now). That's roughly 6 houses away. But because we're known in the valley we've been able to stay in the family home, rather than the holiday let at the back. Our family have been coming to this valley in the lake district since the 1950's.

We actually met the man living where we did, this afternoon and we're hoping to see our old house again tomorrow. It's been renovated since we lived there including the find of a hidden room we had always suspected existed because we couldn't get walls to join up and align in our mental map.

It's a nice looking property!

Yes, dates back to 1650's as do most of the old properties in the valley. They have massively thick dry stone walls. The one we lived in, the walls were almost a metre deep (+3 foot ) thick. They're not as thick here, but this is the more sheltered end of the valley. Much greener and less remote than where we lived. It could be quite wild at times where we lived. Fond memories.
