There’s a special place in hell for…

IKEA must be quite different in the US. I don't recognise your description at all.
It’s a completely different place on the weekends.
Yeah, I will NEVER go into an Ikea on a weekend again. In fact, the last couple of times, I've ordered online and just picked up or got delivery of what I ordered.

The 1 closest to us has a good sized cafeteria space, but it's not huge.

I'm delighted to declare that I have never, ever set foot in IKEA. The very thought of having to construct a piece of furniture drives me to distraction.

X2 here. We have cabinets etc here with panels around the wrong way.im.not pulling stuff apart to fix .
I hate kitsets. F":; spellcheck put kittens.

Me 3. But I want to go see it. I've bought kits from Wayfair furniture online before and DH hated it.

The original Jungle Jim’s location is a mere 13 minutes from the IKEA down here…just don’t go on the weekend.

I absolutely admit I love going through the kitchen displays at IKEA - something like 30 fully set up kitchens, different designs and layouts and all that. As long as it’s a weekday, it’s fun. I skip right over the bedrooms, home offices, and other furniture - I just like the kitchenware department, the kitchens, the food hall, and the cafeteria.

I dont enjoy weekend shopping at all. I will have to make a plan to come down there, but honestly I'll probably spend more time in Jungle Jim's!

Looking it up and seeing that it's an Int'l Market I would have zero interest in Ikea...
I have been to Jungle Jim's (there's a few of them) more than once but I was working on a retrieval project and not there for personal shopping. I could have easily spent 3 hours of my own time in those stores and would have come out with a cartful of stuff. IKEA, well I am almost certain I will buy nothing from there but I just want to see it, that's all.

I'm retired and have all of that "stuff" that Ikea would be pushing. Would be a waste of gas, time, resources, i.e. a fruitless endeavor... The market on the other hand... Well, glad I have a truck. 😎

Given that IKEA is only a few miles away (from Jungle Jim's), I will go. But I am not driving 2 hours to go to Jungle Jim's unless I can figure out a way to work it where I get paid. If I plan ahead (we know how I feel about that) I can probably pick up some work down that way to make it worth my while. So it might not be this year, LOL!
