It's called "dry lemon" hereAlso, bitter lemon. Apparently it’s quite popular in the UK but very hard to find here

You wouldn’t find it in every supermarket but it is well liked. There used to be this juice made by Welch’s called Berry Sunsplash. It was probably mostly high fructose corn syrup and artificial flavour, but it was so good. We called it red juice. I miss it!

They're lovely and even though the picture there shows they are vegan, about 2 years ago the dark chocolate ones gained an added ingredient, milk. No warning, no notice, just the allergic reaction to tell me something was amiss.
I wonder if they're vegan again. I'll check tomorrow when I venture out of the house for the first time in a month or more.
Back when I was much younger, it was used in some kind of punch too.
It's still available here as well.
No, at least it wasn't called that where I came from. It was served at church functions for ladies and girls. Think it had orange sherbet as well, and 7-Up or Sprite or something similar.Garbage can punch?
OJ was a staple in garbage can punch almong my group. And the concentrate was cheaper than the ready made.
They may look the same , but when Cadbury's was taken over by Kraft/Mondelez, they changed the formula. Boatload of extra sugar added, milk powder (I can taste the 'orrible stuff), less fruit, fewer nuts and less real cacao. More profit, of course. They still have those here.
