Bak kut teh.

This is not something I cooked (nor have ever cooked) but back in the 90s I used to eat this in Malaysia with a Chindian mate at a restaurant called "Mungo Jerry"

Bread and ifit.

That's what we used to eat as a youngster.

"Mum, mum, what's for lunch?"
"Bread and ifit."
"What's ifit mum?"
"If it's on the table you can have it in your sandwich."

Also, bread and scrape.

Bringing back some memories. We also used to eat bread and dripping!

Pea pie pud. We have this here about once a month, hot pie with mash potatoes on top and peas on top of that. I also have couple of slices of Beetroot and a slice of onion. Then Worcester and tomato sauce. Hmm, maybe tomorrow night ?

Funny you should mention that - I was watching Chef John Torode (who comes from Australia) on TV. He was visiting his roots back in Australia and went to a Pea pie pud cafe (van) and was filmed eating exactly that. First time I've seen this but I wanted one immediately! Total comfort food.
