It’s just tastes all the better when it’s been a while though doesn’t it. Fresh baked bread is more like a reunion with a much loved friend than a slice of bread

This one is from a KA recipe (classic white sandwich bread) - the previous one was from an Amish cookbook for buttermilk bread.
Very different tastes. Both are good, but the earlier one uses bacon grease for the fat, so it has a slight smoky, porky flavor.

Omg, I can just picture tearing those loaves open and watching that crust break apart with a super fluffy soft crumb. That looks awesome.
Oatmeal bread - didn’t quite spring like I wanted, but the crumb is very light and fluffy. Very nice.
Oh man, that toasted with a bit of butter and some jam....
