Strange really because Middle Eastern food covers a very wide range of dishes, flavourings, ingredients etc.
I think for her, it's the overall smell of the spices. I have the same problem in seafood restaurants, or eating along the water. I can have the best steak in the world, but if I'm smelling that ocean smell or the smell of cooking seafood, then nothing's going down my gullet...probably the opposite. 🤮
