I've been searching for white corn. But can't find any around here.

Read a bit on corn and the taste is determined by a lot of things, nutrients, water, sun, and pretty much not by the color.

What's the Difference Between White and Yellow Corn?

This link explains why yellow corn is popular... Yellow Corn vs. White Corn: A Corn Farmer from Iowa Explains the Difference
I do know yellow is higher in beta carotene but other than that, it's the same.

Corn and soybeans are major crops in Ohio. There are cornfields just a few miles from my house.

I like corn. Period. 😁 I've even got this little jar of concentrated natural corn flavor; adds a pop to the cornbread.

I'm not really a fan of sweetcorn. To me it's a rather a one dimensional taste - it's sweet and that's about it. And I'm not really a fan of sweet per se. I bought a ready made chilli from a good gourmet brand not long ago and it turned out to have sweetcorn in it along with the red beans. I literally couldn't eat it.

Corn in chili sounds icky. I guess hominy in black bean chili might be alright, but not sweetcorn. I'd rather chili have no corn.

White corn is essential for making arepas and empanadas in Venezuela. Yellow corn is typically used on the cob, in soups and stews, and when shucked, it's ground up to make cachapas, or fresh corn pancakes.
In Mexico and Perú you can get red, black or blue corn.
Never really thought about whether it tastes different or not.
