Pristine minimally treated community pumped deep aquifer water. Some of the best quality water in the region. Very fortunate.Question is..
What's your source of water?
yesDo you drink it as is?
No. And we take bottles of it on road trips.Do you buy drinking water?
see aboveDo you treat your water?
yesDo you use the same water for drinking, showering, flushing toilets, watering the garden?
Reading thru the thread and seeing various comments, and also that you're downstream from the big dam on the big river, is the river is fast flowing where you are, so less potential issues with microorganisms etc? Planning to sink a borehole?I bought a solar borehole pump today.
Not that I have a borehole, it will go straight in the river.
And that's the water I use for everything.
Cooking, showering etc
I generally use left over boiled water for drinking, but normally it's tea and coffee anyway.
No other treatments, and if I am thirsty I drink it as is....
We have a deep well with sweet water.Well, it is a drink, but the mods can change it to another category if they like..
Question is..
What's your source of water?
It goes through the refrigerator filter but I wouldn't be afraid to drink it straight.Do you drink it as is?
Yes, but it's for trips away from home generally.Do you buy drinking water?
No.Do you treat your water?

I would boil it always. I would be a bit leery of pathogens.I bought a solar borehole pump today.

I did know but perhaps there are solar uv purifiers or ones that plug into invertersYou know badjak is 100% off the grid right? She is totally solar.
We carried a UV pen steriliser when cycling. It had its own solar recharger. That was always our first port of call for suspect tap water. You know badjak is 100% off the grid right? She is totally solar.
