Me tooI would be as well![]()
I'd probably be wearing an overcoat, wooly gloves and snow boots at that temperature.By they way - I'd be one of those in a ski jacket, even at 62 F![]()
I love camping when it gets cold as well. The week after New Year's, we usually sink into a deep freeze for a week where the overnight lows get to +\-0*F. That's when I usually camp out in my hammock in the backyard. So far, the lowest has been -4*F/-20*C for me, where I've been completely comfortable in normal hiking clothes. The neighbors think I'm nuts, but seriously, that is the best way to shake down and test your setup in complete safety before you head out on a wilderness backpacking trip in the middle of winter, since the back door is just feet away as a bail out, versus possibly freezing to death, miles from your car on your first run at it.

???OK, seriously unimpressed.

we both woke to a lovely cool morning having slept well with everything wide open! 12.9C was bliss!???
Yeah 35 C is a bit on the warm side but 12.9 is a bit oon cool side too![]()
.... There is a reason I have not been to them!
We only got about an inch last night, just enough to cover up the ice from snow melting previously and refreezing, so less slipping chance when working today.Gunna be another shitty day here today. We have snow starting now and going non stop until midday with an expected 3 - 6" of accumulation. The only good thing is it is a school day so they will keep the roads cleared off pretty good UNLESS they shut the schools which wuldn't surprise me either. Anything for a day off
I just hope it does stop at 12:00 midday and they do keep the roads clear as we are supposed to be going out for dinner for a friend birthday tonight ....
Wow, that looks as flippy as the Nevada desert...Yuck, yuck, yuck

Boy is it changeable this year.
I think by Friday, I'll be hiding in the dark somewhere. At least the chicks won't need heat during the day! Lol
Darn, the temps are certainly all over the place ......Yuck, yuck, yuck

i know I'm on the great dividing range and on the edge of the plains as well but it still seems to be incredibly variable this year.
