Weather and other bits

I've been watching our weather as we need to go back down into the "Big City" and that drive is treacherous even when there isn't any snow.
BUT!
We've got some weather a'comin'
💩
So DH & I discussed it this afternoon and decided that it what behoove us to drive down there a day earlier and spend the night in a hotel before DH's follow up appointment with the surgeon. He's to have his foley catheter removed and check on all of the plumbing... he's not been a happy camper and wants this DONE!

So far we’ve had some ice pellets, rain, and now it seems to be wet snow. They are now saying my area should get a few mm of freezing rain, so hopefully we’ll be good as far as the power goes.

I made it all th way in to the office (despite the transit agency cancelling half the trains) and it’s a ghost town here. I was curious to see how many people actually show up (they’ve recently decided to force a bunch of us back into the office more often for no apparent reason, which has been an absolute disaster).

Maidstone (South East England) remains grey with sporadic bursts of sunshine. Rain has been more than usual for the time of year. Temperatures are cool but not freezing. I much prefer living here to any other climate. I like seasonal changes but don't want extremes of temperature, particularly heat.

Yep, I day that about the Australian summer as well. One day +40°C within 48hrs is 2-6°C . We're still getting the wide variation in temperatures as well. Guess it's the new norm sadly.
