What’s going on in your garden (2026)?

It's hot here.
We'll have to start watering if it doesnt rain by the day after tomorrow

Frozen.

It’s raining here, lite rain, unlike what was forecasted.
This morning, I did order 3 more herbaceous peonies from Solaris Farm to keep up with my annual tradition.
One white - Gardenia
One pink - The fawn
One creamy yellow - Sunny Girl
They will be delivered in the the Fall of 2026.
I did go through the catalog of tree peony, looked through every single woody peony and admire their beauty, but that’s it. I no longer want to buy them, unless I get a really nice tree peony flower from my garden this year.
Here’s looking forward to a good year planting and growing things.

Lemon from my sister’s garden, she told me to take them all, she’s not using them. She has a productive tree.

This is Myer lemon, for the truest cook, this is not lemon, haha.

Celery from my garden, I’m not sure this is the regular celery or the Chinese version, I don’t recall we could grow regular celery in the past, but this is very fragrant better than regular celery. I’m out of regular celery from my freezer. I’ve heard or read French Chefs use very little of regular celery in soup because it can be overpowering sometimes.

My sister has a couple of Meyer Lemon trees. Have to bring them inside in this zone for the winter. She's given me some and not worth the effort. I like limes more.

Yeah, I couldn’t grow them when I was in the Bay Area which is zone 9.
I just recently acquired a lime tree, nothing yet this year, but I do have a dwarf Myer Lemon tree in my front yard, they are turning yellow, but not quite 100% yet.

I’m a grafting addict. Every year I will get some cuttings or scions to graft my fruit trees, more varieties for fun really.
I just found out one garden will be opening soon, somehow I thought it would be later.
So I’m waiting to get a few mulberry cuttings so I can graft to my white mulberry White Ivory, frankly it’s too sweet, I want some mulberry with a bit more acidity, this tree also serves to distract the birds from my cherries and blueberries.

Ding Dong Garden is now open for cuttings, I managed to add Shangri La mulberry but not Austurkey, so I add another dwarf variety just for the fun of it.
