What did you cook or eat today (April 2024)?

We had babyback ribs with mashed potatoes and Brussels sprouts. Not sure why I didn't take a photo. Really good.

Turkey tenderloin with orange sauce, french fries and steamed broccoli

Husband and I went for sushi last night. Really hit the spot!

Yesterday's meal was a pasta bake of mixed grilled vegetables with tuna and mozzarella

And today's was calf steak with garlic mushrooms and roast cauliflower & courgette with potatoes

Fried thin chicken cutlets, buttered corn, and yams (with a pat of butter, and a sprinkle of cinnamon sugar).

Using up leftovers, I made an “Irish” pizza:

Bisto instead of pizza sauce, Irish cheddar, sliced boiled potatoes, sliced bangers, and a sprinkle of chopped cabbage.

Wasn’t bad at all, but I still prefer the traditional over this.

We were in-between appointments today, having had no food, all day, DH suggested that we go to a local Pizza All-You-Can-Eat Buffet (Pizza Hut) ... quick and easy.

That was food !!!
Once we finally got home, I made us Chicken Nuggets and chopped up fresh Veggies, a Summer time staple on our rotation.
I found a dup of an expensive, lightly breaded Chicken Chunk at Costco, very tasty. I use to buy Tysons Crisp Chicken Strips, but just far too much batter on them.
No pics, as I am done for!!

We went to BJs Brewhouse, got there after 8 when it wasn't too crowded. Had the usual parmesan encrusted chicken. We sat at the bar. Nice evening.

Spring is finally here. The flowers are blooming and I've been able to wear sandals and short sleeves.

Snacks earlier this week from left over springroll dough. I added onion powder, chili powder and paprika to it

Got back absolutely shattered, takeaway was ordered.
Ginger and garlic prawns were so delicious I'd enter them in the ginger recipe challenge if "phone restaurant, order dish'" wasn't recipe most people already know
