Went out for a two course dinner at a Michelin recommended restaurant ( no star yet). Menu - côté préféré

Sourdough, salted butter & bacon rilettes

Prawn & spinach frittata with chilli mayo, beef tartare & tarragon cream

North sea crab with apple & beetroot

Foie gras with Hazelnut, red cabbage & chocolate

Lamb saddle with pistachio, pea & feta frittata and pommes dauphine with a Lamb gravy.

Alcohol free pear & cinnamon cocktail

Chicken kebabs and satay sauce from a bottle. Store bought my wife got so I tried..average. should have used my frozen sauce.
I've just taken frozen beef mince out for curried mince on toast tonight. I havnt cooked this for .months.
I got 2 lots of mince a few days ago.

Air Fryer Chicken Chunks from Costco (they're a dup for that expensive stuff, Just Bare, lightly breaded Chicken Nuggets) and some fresh veg that needed to be eaten up.
Oh, forgot those lovely specialty olives I got at the Deli Counter in the Kroger's aka Fry's here in Cowboyville, AZ - can't wait for the Aldi's to open here!

I. Made. Bread!!!! White, two loaves, not just edible - actual! Ha ha! Ate the crust off one washed down with red wine ( not homemade. Picture is of the nibbling’s breakfast, not my midnight snack.) Very pleased. I’ve been trying to do this for years.

I had a carryout pizza evaluation last night. The little knobs on the outer crust are stuffed with mozzarella.

This haddock and chips was £23 at a pub in Hampstead. I suppose I should have known what to expect.

The fish was really, really good though. Nice light crispy batter and delicious piece of haddock. The chips were OK but they were so few; just look at them! The plate should be full of them for that price (and the fish twice the size lol).

OK - this is probably the last lamb I'm eating on this trip:. Very nice and tender.

It has a QR code you can scan to see where the farm was, but it wasn't Welsh unfortunately, but came from 'South Western England' so somewhere like Somerset or Devon I expect? Well, Wales is just across the Severn from there isn't it so same part of the world.
