Did you have the grill/broiler on by mistake?

No, I forgot to put the pizza oven timer on and started loading the dishwasher then my daughter started talking to me and the next thing I knew smoke was coming out of it.

Oh well. It was partially edible but I threw most of it away and had a Pot Noodle!
 
After six weeks I finally got my arm out of a sling. Can’t lift anything that is heavier than a cup of coffee. But I did cook bone in pork chops in a stainless skillet. Salt, ground black pepper, paprika and no salt Creole seasoning. Basted with butter with shallots and thyme. Turned out really good. Store bought potato salad and frozen peas. The peas were microwaved and awful. Even with butter, salt and pepper they were pretty dull. But it’s good to get a step back on the road of recovery. Six more weeks of physical therapy. I’m excited about cooking tomorrow night. Skillet chicken. Leftover store bought potato salad and a frozen veggie.

Glad to hear you’re improving and back to cooking. Pork chops sound like they were great.
