What did you cook or eat today: August 2025?

I don't do anything special really, I just used Google and found some recipes and took the stuff I liked and combined them. I also up the amount of garlic a bit and use 37 pounds of feta and a bunch of fresh dill.
I also use loads of feta cheese. Never tried garlic or dill.
I've had Armenian (a friend's mother told me the ingredients. But no amounts. She made tricorns open in the middle with bread dough and served with lemon wedges). And Greek spinach pies made with Philo. I did like you. Mixed and matched till I got what we like. When I had left over filling, I have done biscuit tricorns.
HMMMM, Going to have to make this soon. LOL

OK here's a Nicoise salad I made today. In my mopey self-pity thread I did say I was gonna do more veg so here we go! I've made this before some time ago, but can't remember which recipe I worked off. This one is from Serious Eats.

The anchovy vinaigrette was really good, plus I learned how to make that cucumber flower thing in the middle off Pinterest. Also, I've never blanched then ice-cooled French beans before.

Wife wanted a salad something-or-other with eggs, so I found an Egyptian inspired recipe, which involved tomato, cucumber, avocado and onion; parsley, sumac, paprika, chile and lots of oil and lemon juice.
Then there was also the recipe I made for the courgette challenge, but got the day wrong. Grilled courgettes, marinated bocconcini, cherry tomatoes.
