Got the gas grill at the hotel fired up again!

DH asked me, "would you bother with using a hotel's grill again if they had it?"
YUP!
I'd rather cook us two a healthy-ish meal for the price of one fast-food burger drive-through for one person :D
DH: yeah but stubborn woman, it's how hot out and you're grilling? NO ONE else is!
Moi: yup 111* out, but `member, I grill when it's snowing and raining too!
 
Shrimp scampi served over spaghetti with kimchi on top. With freshly grated Parmesan.

Yes in it's original vegetarian form.

Recipe - Leek and Mushroom Gratin

We now do a 1:1 ratio leeks to mushrooms. And i use cashew cream instead of cream plus we've cut back the oil in the bread crumbs (200g breadcrumbs, 1 tbsp olive oil, 50g walnuts, 50g sunflower seeds) and have a thinner topping.
Plus obviously no cheese... we just ditched that completely.

I probably should write up the vegan version now we have it worked out.

We grill at all temperatures...
Summer & winter, maybe a slight break in the rainy season
Mostly on charcoal though
 
I made babi ketjap (babi kecap).
I was going to do a seperate dish with mainly green bell peppers.
But I decided to be lazy and just threw them in the pot.
So I suppose I made babi ketjap dan paprika hijau :)
Annyway, much more tasty than expected.
Wish I had taken note of the amounts. Ingredients: pork, onion, ginger, fresh chili, garlic, soy & treacle (as replacement for ketjap manis) and tamarind juice. And of course green bell peppers
