What did you cook or eat today: August 2025?

The rest of my gnocchi that I had in the freezer, mixed with some tortellini in an Alfredo sauce with mozzarella slices melted on top.

One pan chicken which turned out better than usual, wish I knew why?! No pics of that, too hungry!
Also made up the unusual burger relish recipe I saw ready to try out tomoz.
Sorry about the terrible picture but it’s so tasty I had to share it.

This is a mix of tomato sauce, Japanese mayo, spring onion (salad onion, scallion, green onion depending on where you’re from), gherkin, sriracha and kimchi.

Really looking forward to trying it out. I quadrupled most of the recipe (didn't use quite so much kimchi) and omitted the kimchi juice (Vadasz brand) which I’m glad about because it’s loose enough. I also chose Khune’s Honey gherkins, I think the sweetness of those particular gherkins helped out a lot.

Like it enough to think others might enjoy it too. I’d try not to be put off by the title, it is one of those titles we all dislike 😬

Perfect Burger

Barriehie the fresh Hatch Chiles came out not long ago and I roast them myself on the gasser.
Up here in the mountains of Cowboyville Arizona, they don't have the roasting basket as they do in Southern AZ, so ...
I made the mistake of grabbing "medium" chiles :pepper:too for DH & I!!!

The big red ones on the left aren't hot and they're a cultivar of Hatch chili's. The cayennes on the lower right I don't think are hot but many disagree. I like to dip them in a cream cheese spread and munch while I'm puttering.
