The final meal of the year, although there will be a very naughty snack later.
Huntsman's burger - Venison, Partridge, Pheasant, Duck, Teal, Pigeon and Pork burger with crispy bacon, fried onions and cheese. Very rich, no fries required, and lighting poor.

Obviously I shouldn't have, but I did. A pre midnight snack, fois gras with a sauternes jelly.
NYE is always snacky time for us - started with cream cheese-stuffed celery, cheese and crackers, hard pretzels, and moving on to pigs in blankets (the US variety) shortly.

I didn’t want to eat too late but my husband said he was not hungry yet. The lamb smells wonderful so I took the lamb out before 5PM.
I normally don't eat dinner but I made an exception for New Year’s Eve.
This dish reminds of the roast lamb we had at Crete, slow roasting, very tender. It’s been roasting at 250 F for 4-5 hours, then at 350F for 1.5 hours, and then blasted it at 375F for maybe 30 minutes. I think the roasted potatoes came out crispy. I like them with ketchup.
Apple crumble with ice cream, crispy chewy topping, healthy to boot, lots of Omega-3 from walnuts
