Our New years eve table. Very traditional Dutch New Years food. Oliebollen coming later.
 
I didn’t want to eat too late but my husband said he was not hungry yet. The lamb smells wonderful so I took the lamb out before 5PM.
I normally don't eat dinner but I made an exception for New Year’s Eve.

This dish reminds of the roast lamb we had at Crete, slow roasting, very tender. It’s been roasting at 250 F for 4-5 hours, then at 350F for 1.5 hours, and then blasted it at 375F for maybe 30 minutes. I think the roasted potatoes came out crispy. I like them with ketchup.

Apple crumble with ice cream, crispy chewy topping, healthy to boot, lots of Omega-3 from walnuts
