What did you cook or eat today? (December 2025)

Today is grill baby grill, lol
Grilled mackerels that are marinated with lemon, salt and pepper, it will be served on a bed of lettuce. This is my husband’s favorite dish. He used to grill mackerels over the bonfire after he caught them, this is back when he was in the Scouts.
Mine are from Norway unfortunately, I didn’t catch them myself.

Did you get them as whole fish? I used to buy whole mackerel at a Korean store and they'd clean it as you asked.

Yes, they were frozen but the fish person was able to clean them for me with no extra charge. The Korean stores like Zion charge one dollar per pound extra for cleaning, but lately I have not set foot in those stores.

The store I would go to probably had the charge worked into the price. No matter, they weren't expensive and I like them. Here's it's cans... 😕

I forgot about the bit where I hadn’t had any sleep the night before so it was over before I really got started, I was firmly in the grip of snoozetown before I even finished the spag bol 😂
