What did you cook or eat today? (December 2025)

Sandwiches for supper after getting back from shopping trek to dark sky city. Didn't stop to eat. Paper thin pile of sliced smoked ham with Muenster on sourdough with mustard & mayo, cornichons and pickled red cabbage. No photos. Wolfed down. 😅

It was great to take advantage of Spains offering of cartons of precooked eggs, made the devilled eggs pretty simple to make.
They sell hard boiled eggs on thee sdide of the road here, esp at the bus stops.
(And roasted mielies, cold water, soft drinks, bananas......)
 
Yes. It's bean too hot recently.

Backing up a bit - not only do I love hard boiled eggs but also deviled eggs as well - heck, if it's food, I'll probably like it :)

That being said though, I cannot for the life of me (or anyone else for that matter) make devilled eggs. I have had them made by others and some are excellent while others are, well not so much. Is there a secret to making them, aside from NOT eating the eggs as you peel them before you get the chance to make them ? :)

They're so easy i don't even measure. Mayonnaise (NOT Miracle Whip), mustard, hard boiled eggs, and paprika for a garnish. I do eat a few egg whites while peeling because I like extra yolky filling.
