I'm not...but I travel all the peninsula (and the islesI lived close to a tiny village in Lazio called Tecchiena for three years..I worked in my in laws hotel which was in Frozinone, as a cook and a barrista..I thought by some of your posts you might have been from the central part of Italy..
I did love my time In Italy..I had two children while living there....As a young man, it was very influential for me..I became friends with some Napolitanos who used to work and stay in our hotel which also had pensione rooms.. so I became very good at being noisy myself..They had some great laughs teaching me how to curse and speak Neapolitan slang..I'm not...but I travel all the peninsula (and the isles) and tastes as much regional specialities as I can!
I know that Italy is a small country, but here you travel for only 50/100km and you can meet some very different dishes!
did you enjoy your stay in Italy? People from Rome and neighborhing is faomous for being particularly noisy![]()
Mussels in white wine & garlic sauce. Crusty bread to mop up the juices.

I don't see anything to mop up. Did you hold the sauce until after the photos?
Mopping up the sauce is almost as good as eating the mussels.
