• I’ve added a casual chat room to CookingBites as a place for off-topic banter, light conversation, and short-lived chit-chat that doesn’t belong in forum threads. The chat room is informal and lightly-to-not moderated, with messages being temporary, so it’s ideal for friendly back-and-forth that would otherwise derail discussions. Site rules still apply, but there’s no reporting system or expectation of post-by-post moderation - if something becomes uncomfortable, the right response is to step away. If a topic has substance or lasting value, it still belongs in the forums; everything else can head to chat.

A quick brunch for moi yesterday.
We needed to rush over to the dentist to have them check out DH's surgical site - it's okey-dokey

Tried a new-to-me recipe I saw on Face Book... Cheesy Sausage Stuffed Bisquits.
Next time, more cheese though.
I tweaked the recipe and used Trader Joe's Chicken Breakfast Sausage patties and Swiss for DH & Extra Sharp Cheddar for moi (that's the ones with the Everything But The Bagel Seasoning on top).
Not bad.
DH took his first bite and said, "try Bacon next time".
My exact thought!!

The snow it is a'comin!!
So I made Stuffed Pepper Stoup ... that's a cross between soup and stew ... it came out thicker than usual ... note to self: add more broth!
It's very tasty!
I shared some with one of my Neighborhood Gal Pals, who is sick with a cold. AHHH! Soup/Stoup to the rescue!
 
Mrs. GH and I tag teamed dinner again tonight. She handled the beef roast and honey glazed Brussel sprouts 'n bacon, and I made the 5-layer Potatoes Dauphinoise in my spankin' new Le Creuset Casserole. We had perfect timing, as our guests are arriving in 3, 2, Ding-Dong! Gotta go!

Since getting home from the vet yesterday all I've had has been a baked potato and a slice of cheese.

Just had a some corn, flatbread with EVOO and garlic seasoning, and steamed carrots. Now I feel okay like I've eaten.
Make sure you’re taking care of yourself while you’re taking care of Pippi.
