"Throw away cheese"!??!? WHAT!? blasphemy! This is a copy from Jacques Pepin, except my husband said to throw away the Jarlsberg cheese so I used it today. 1/3 box of shell pasta. Rapini, cannoli beans, and a bit of ham I got on sale yesterday.

Since you have an accent, should you type with italics on?Not getting your reference there.Am I being a doughnut (which means a bit stupid in UK slang)!?
I bought 4.3 lbs of beef shanks earlier in the week, which I never see. So, after wrapping up with work early today, I looked up a bunch of recipes for Osso Buco and slapped together an amalgamation of the different ones I liked. Four hours in the kitchen later, I finished my first Ossu Buco, with homemade mashed potatoes and gremolata. The last pic was a shared plate for Mrs. GH and I.

I think this meat is better value than Oxtail, it’s usually half the price too.I love that dish! The Mexican markets usually have shanks. The "bone with a hole" is a good one to customize too!![]()
I’ve never used oxtail to make Osso Buco = bone with a hole translated.I think this meat is better value than Oxtail, it’s usually half tye price too.
No I didn’t mean to suggest making Osso Buco with oxtail, but just the choice of meat for dinner. This meat has bone, jell, and meat, maybe better value.I’ve never used oxtail to make Osso Buco = bone with a hole translated.
Oh yes, oxtail is stupid pricey at the grocery. If I go to the processors it's around $7/lb. and since it's so far out I buy 5 lbs.No I didn’t mean to suggest making Ossi Buco with oxtail, but just the choice of meat for dinner. this meat has bone, jell, and meat, maybe better value.
