Lamb fillet in lamb jus with mint and roasted garlic, braised lamb neck with turnip puree, minted pea puree and a spicy lamb croquette. I loved the croquette, it was like a Morrocan tagine in just one bite!

Almond & lemon madeleines as a a pre dessert treat. I could eat ten in one go and still want more, lol

My favorite fruit turned into a dessert. It's amazing how he can take an ingredient and uplift it until it is just elevated. This was a stew of red fruits with cherry beer, thick yoghurt and meringue. A great end to a great meal!

Had a nice little last-minute stroke of competence tonight.

We haven’t had salad all week, so I was determined to make at least a side salad tonight, so I made up an herb vinaigrette, then went to the fridge to pull out the lettuce, radish, etc.

Truth was, I’d rather enjoyed the break from all the chop chop chop that salad involves, so I was sort of dreading it.

Then I saw it. The green beans and baby potatoes I’d cooked up as a side dish a couple of days ago. Hey…cold beans…little cold taters…freshly-made herb vinaigrette…that’s a pretty good picnic salad right there.

Dumped the vegetables into a big bowl, tipped in the dressing, gave it the good ol’ college stir, and now MrsT is telling what an excellent bean salad I’ve made. :thankyou:

I had made 8 hamburger patties earlier this week and had Craig slightly undercook 4 of them. He had a choice tonight of hamburgers again or chopped steak, buttered baby potatoes, and his green bean/stewed tomatos/onion/garlic vegetable side he came up with years ago.

medtran49 I do the same. When I shop for ground Beef in bulk, I divvy it up in 1 pound chubs, vacuum seal each and throw them in the deep freeze.
Then I'll grill 4 patties from that pound of meat, making sure to well under cook 2 of them for later... last night's supper was Local-Style Hamburger Steak (that's Hawaii speak), that ever present steamed White Rice and fresh Green Beans - lovely Brown Gravy ALL OVER! ONO!!
No photos but you know ...
