What did you cook or eat today (June 2025)?

I was feeling in a ducky mood so went to one of the nearby hawker centres in search of it. There's a famous stall there (the white light one), but here's me at the end of the queue... I stood there for 5 minutes and it hadn't moved and there were about 30 people in front of me... :(

Nevermind - there are 3 other stalls selling pretty much the same thing. So $32 SGD (about £18) for a whole roast duck (and no queuing). This is half of it and there's another box.

I also bought half a Kg of their char siew which we also had with the duck for lunch and will freeze the rest for fried rice and stuff:

All the duck offcuts for me to microwave and gnaw on later tonight (after I've had a few beers).

I made some foccaccia today.
2 last sourdough balls (my normal dough) from the fridge.
Flattened the first and put in an oven dish with olive oil
Then put rosemary and the 2nd flatted ball on top.
Let it rise and then put thinly sliced onions & coarse salt on top.
Baked in my gas oven, which is why the top is a bit pale

So that was breakfast , lunch and dinner and now don't want any foccaccia for at least a week
