What did you cook or eat today (May 2025)?

Ham, American cheese, onion, pickled jalapeno, and mustard sandwich, along with some potato sticks.

My eldest starts his first proper job on Monday so is departing back to his own abode tomorrow to settle in.
Friday afternoon traffic in the West Country and especially Bristol is not good so tomorrow as a good luck see off we’re having a ‘Breakfast BBQ’ so he can leave before the rush 😂

Made some German(ish) potato salad with Kuhne honey gherkins (one of my favourite pickles) and a fair amount of egg n smoked paprika which is a bit of deviation, but a nice one.

and some Asian coleslaw, shown before the dressing and a bit of it after the dressing with the pinenuts added.

I ate one of those house salads from yesterday--field greens, dried cranberries, goat cheese, pine nuts, balsamic vinegar and some peppercorn ranch (with extra black pepper). Yummy. I made DH some over-medium fried eggs over a brioche bun with warm parmesan chicken slices, bacon pieces, and creamy gruyere cheese sauce. He practically licked the plate.
