My favourite can’t be arsed supper.
Toasted buttered tiger bread roll with ham, avocado, poached egg and cayenne pepper.

It’s “can’t be arsed” because it was a small shop bought pre-cooked joint of ham that I sliced and left heating through wrapped in foil on a plate warmer along with a bowl of ‘Holy Moly’s guacamole (particularly good for this because it’s not just bland avocado and has some flavour to it) and the poached eggs take a little over two minutes. Lazy

Burger time: (home made, except for the bun)
Blue cheese burger with bacon bits, YMCA potatoes, tomato, leaves and red onion, dill pickles

We had loaded baked potatoes with sour cream, butter, broccoli, 3-cheese sauce, bacon, and chives. Very tasty!

I made springrolls.
No pics.
They tasted good but looked a bit odd.
I used wrappers that I bought and they had dried out a bit. They were also very thin.
The first one I did kept breaking, so it ended up with 3 wrappers and actually tasted good that way.
So: note to self: just double wrap them next time

I shallow fried them which seemed to work pretty well. I have frozen a couple of them as an experiment. I'll have those in a couple of days

Today someone came in to thank me for being so nice on the phone and bought donuts. she bought 5 jam filled, 5 custard filled and 5 standard sugar coated. For the 1st time in years I ate a jam filled, very nice but very sugary sweet. Got near the end of it when a dollop fell out, landed on my desk and computer keyboard...shh...don't tell our IT guy

Thankfully it only landed on the space bar, as we will be having 3 days off I hope it will not get 'jammed' so I can still use it on Tuesday

Maybe…two laptops ago (so four years ago, more or less), I’d just gotten my new laptop, had it less than a week, and it was a Friday, so I was having a beer, and I’d sat my laptop (open) down on the floor next to me, then went to pick up my beer, which slipped from my hand and distributed the contents over every last inch of the keyboard, touchpad and all that.

Cleaned it off as best I could, shut it down, and imagine how exciting it was to take it to our hardware team and try and explain why my brand-spanking new laptop smelled like a brewery.

They took it apart and cleaned it as best they could, but that laptop always reeked of stale beer and one key randomly stuck, which was a real PITA, because I’d be typing something in chat and it would look like this:

“I talked to Dottie and she said itttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt…”

…until I could smack it hard enough to unstick it.

I took the keys off mine to clean them well and couldn't remember where they all went so I sprayed painted them all and put them wherever they fit...


Had a bratwurst on a pretzel bun with Creole mustard.
