• I’ve added a casual chat room to CookingBites as a place for off-topic banter, light conversation, and short-lived chit-chat that doesn’t belong in forum threads. The chat room is informal and lightly-to-not moderated, with messages being temporary, so it’s ideal for friendly back-and-forth that would otherwise derail discussions. Site rules still apply, but there’s no reporting system or expectation of post-by-post moderation - if something becomes uncomfortable, the right response is to step away. If a topic has substance or lasting value, it still belongs in the forums; everything else can head to chat.

I've developed laryngitis. So I will be having rose hip and hibiscus tea (steeped loose leaves) with honey. And probably Lipton chicken noodle soup (with scrambled egg threads).

I had the gas grill/bbq going yesterday prior to a BIG storm coming our way today (already started).
I did a coupla Mild Italian Sausages for sandwiches later ...
It's later!
These were a-maz-ing!
I went up to the bakery and got some "Hoagie Rolls", gave them a bit of a toast, sautéed some Sweet Bell Peppers and Onions with a dash of my homemade Italian Seasoning, heated the Sausages back up, topped it all off with some Sharp Provolone Cheese, scooped it on the toasted bread and went to town!!!
That ☝️ was delicious!!!
Poor DH, is having difficulty with his taste buds, yet again, which is due in part to all of the medications he's taking for his heart.
He said that he tasted NOTHING!! So then he won't eat. I got him to half a sandwich at least.

We ended up having lunch out after an 8km (5 mile) 350m climbing (+1,000 foot).

The view wasn't too bad either (taken about 100m way away from the meal)

We've just had breakfast, because from 7am until 9.30am, we had yet another power cut:mad: Everything is electric in this house.
My son said he wanted hot dogs:eek:, so hot dogs it was! A couple of juicy Polish sausages, a bit of sauerkraut, potato sprinkles, and that was that.
I had a peanut butter sandwich.

Chicken stew and herb dumplings.
Another win for the Caputo gluten free flour. These were fluffy and light and it’s the first time I’ve had a decent dumpling in 25 years!

Also used the new herb grinder to make some smoked mackerel paté. Worked well. I think it will make making my own pastes a lot easier. Win win 😊
