What did you cook or eat today? (November 2025)

Not feeling very well today, I had an intensive weekend and the temp dropped dramatically..
So for lunch I had a bread soup. This is the traditional milanese one. Sorry not nice photos, anyway it was warm, delicious, so comforting.

Feel better.
Never had bread soup. Sounds comforting.
When I don't feel good, like lately, my comfort food is pastina and eggs. Or mashed potato and gravy.

With Thanksgiving this week, I'm cooking light all week going into it. (We're actually doing it on Friday to fit everyone's schedules.) Mrs.GH and I tag-teamed it tonight. I cooked a coho salmon filet, while she whipped up a Ceasar salad, going heavy on the garlic and anchovies, just as I like it. We had a couple of leftover heart-shaped croutons I'd made with a coq au vin recently, so I tossed those on our plates as well.

Mine as well but I had some old bread and parmigiano so I decided to make this soup. Yes is very good. I also added an egg

Thin pizza crusts made with semolina flour, topped only with tomato sauce, salt, olive oil and fresh thyme.

Edit: one is topped with grated Parmigiano 😅

My mom made something like that. She would spread dough with sauce or tomato paste, Parmesan reg, pecorino romano, salt, ground peppercorns, red pepper flakes, and chopped fresh parsley. Then she would roll it up and bake.
