What did you cook or eat today (October 2022)?

I love shoestring, they are my all time favorite. I don't know how or why, but they always seem to taste better. I loathe steak fries. Way too much bland potato with no where near enough crunchy outside. The ratio is WAYYYY off.
Same as my wife. She doesn’t care for the Beefeaters… I’m an old school guy and like crinkle cuts. But my mandolin only cuts small and they save me the blanching step.

How do you slice the `taters that thin, and what kind of spud is it TastyReuben ?
I use a mandolin and I am using red potatoes that I grew in the back yard..here’s the finished butternut squash. I was going to
post the plated dinner but I didn’t like the pics.

Cacio e pepe , WW Pene with New Zealand Green Lip Mussels - DH was in heaven!

I really wanted Clam Sauce, pulled the can down off the pantry shelf and spied Cheese Tortellini, mmm, that was delicious!
Loads of Garlic in that lovely Sauce, I could only eat half though - the other half for lunch tomorrow ...
