What did you cook or eat today? (October 2025)

I'm not one to jump ahead time zones (or days) to start a thread to beat someone else out.
But I can understand what you are saying. Might as well jump the gun in case no one else wanted to start the thread.
Just in case. Probably easier than waiting until the actual day passes by and it's a new month already.

Mod.comment:
It was already the new month of November in Australia/New Zealand when the new thread appeared. Mods aren't remotely interested in beating anyone out or jumping guns by starting regular occurring threads. We already have enough to do. We are trying to be helpful. And its just a thread! Its not hurting anyone, I hope.

This October thread will now be left open longer to allow for replies or catch-up posts (as requested by a member, last month).

I've seen the sour cream in stores.
I wasn't sure if that was a queso or other product that might come in squeeze tube forum.

Thanks.

Anyway...
My soup was tasty.

That looks delicious.

I’ve used it (and the squeezy mayonnaise), but those don’t deliver enough of their contents fast enough, so I prefer the big jars, so I can scoop it out by the half-cup.

..answering my own question. They are what we call spiny lobsters in the UK. They are not true lobsters (family Nephropidae) but a type of huge crayfish.

Florida has spiny lobster. I've read about catching them for dinner.
Ugly things.

Whatever it is, I like the looks of it with the red stripes going across it.
Like some kind of snake or millipede, lol.

Hey, spiny lobster aren't ugly. The 2 species I mentioned in a previous post are ugly, AKA giant cockroach looks. There are also some smaller ones called Spanish/spotted lobster. They are quite pretty. They have tiny polka dots all over them. They are mostly nocturnal.

When we were younger, we'd catch so many that we'd get tired of lobster.
