It’s funny, because that’s something I gripe about when I’m watching cooking shows, even Jacques Pepin - cutting an onion (and/or crushing garlic) and then sticking the onion knife right in the stick of butter.I used to work at a deli. Sometimes when we would sauté something with onions, some onion “juice” would get on the butter. I loved that flavor of onion on a slice of toasted rye.
