What did you cook or eat today (September 2025)?

THAT'S IT!!!
Our local Krogers had the biscuits on sale $1.99 a few weeks back so I got two and made a double batch for the freezer.
Ya gotta use the Air Fryer to re-heat these puppies, total game changer over the micro!!
Make sure to leave the biscuits side on the countertop for a good while so that they separate nicely.
Puggles this ☝️ is what you want to look at.
Cool!!! I got a thing of the biscuits for $2.29 and I'm going to mince up some chipotle cheese sausages to go with the eggs and toss in a wallop of air fried crispy bits of some smoked jowl bacon. 🤤

Get you on the air fryer, micro would make the biscuit rubbery and all else is boiling. 👍

*side note to the everything bagel bombs, I add a good, oh 1/4 cup or so of sliced Green Onions to the egg mixture, I like more onion flavor.
I like onion flavor too so I'll figure in some of those dried onion bits rehydrated. They seem to have more flavor than fresh onions, IDK.

I'm guessing you made the toast (or maybe all of it).
he's getting the hang of it now and knows I will simply not eat if he tries to serve me burnt toast/charcoal again.

But given we have been married for nearly 29 years, I guess it is only a matter of time before he forgets again!

The usual lunch, sourdough, avo, chutney and tofu

A new recipe for evening meal. Leek and cauliflower soup.

Its a recipe from our favourite Irish vegetarian cafe. We have all his books and if there is a hard way of doing something, or a way of making it take longer, use more pots and pans, he usually does. Still it's nice it's smooth, it takes of leeks and a touch of nutmeg,. The topping was hubby adding 'protein'. The actual recipe uses 3 hazelnut gougères as extras, but the diet doesn't permit and not being able to have the cheese as well, we passed on them.

I found a cheat code for getting really nice shavings of Parmesan. Just use your veggie peeler. It works very well.
Not a cheat code at all. Very sensible.
Additionally, you get more Parmigiano on whatever you're cooking!
I have used a peeler for years, especially for things like Cesar salad, although it's difficult to get uniform slices, but recently bought this, What did you cook or eat today (August 2025)? , after SSOP's post. Yes, it's a bit pricy, but makes lovely uniform ribbons/curls. Haven't tried it on chocolate yet, but I bet it will make lovely delicate curls for garnish.
